Circuit Semantics Joins Synopsys Milkyway Access Program

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 11, 2003--Circuit Semantics, Inc. (CSI), a leading provider of next-generation modeling and characterization solutions for high-performance integrated circuit (IC) design, today announced that it has signed up for Synopsys' Milkyway(TM) Access Program (MAP-in(SM)). MAP-in gives members such as Circuit Semantics free access to the Milkyway application programming interfaces (APIs) for integration development into the widely used Milkyway design database.

"Circuit Semantics, Inc. supports interoperability initiatives such as Synopsys' MAP-in for the benefit of our customers," said Ewald Detjens, chief executive officer of Circuit Semantics. "MAP-in and access to Milkyway will benefit our joint customers through close integration of our solutions for IC design."

"We welcome Circuit Semantics' participation in the MAP-in program," said Rich Goldman, vice-president of Strategic Market Development at Synopsys, Inc. "An objective of MAP-in is to give EDA developers open and immediate access to the Milkyway database and environment, allowing them to become more productive using an industry-proven design database with thousands of tape-outs."

About Circuit Semantics, Inc.

Circuit Semantics, Inc. provides timing and characterization solutions for high performance cells, cores, and blocks based on innovative and patented technology. IC designers employ these mixed-level solutions to create high-performance chips using full-custom and structured-custom methodologies. The company's products support precise, gate-level abstraction of transistor-level circuits to accelerate timing closure for designs fabricated in deep submicron (DSM) process technologies. These solutions are especially well suited for the microprocessor, digital signal processing, graphics, and high-speed communications markets. Circuit Semantics is headquartered at 2590 North First Street, Suite 301, San Jose, California 95131, telephone 408/571-4800; fax 408/468-1468. For more information, visit www.circuitsemantics.com.
